Nicole Wible

Operations Manager

Nicole is the firm’s paralegal and operations manager. Prior to joining Byers & Taylor, PLLC, Nicole worked as a paralegal and administrator in Florida, Hawaii, and South Carolina, before her husband’s career eventually led her to Texas.

Nicole obtained her paralegal certificate in 2009, but she began her legal career years earlier as an intern for a county judge in her hometown. Nicole has learned to adapt to a multitude of situations and excel with high-pressure demands. She prides herself on her attention to detail, organization, and excellent customer service. Above all, she believes that client communication and transparency is the key to a successful client relationship. She has experience in multiple areas of law, including business and litigation, as well as and firm management, which makes her an integral part of our team.

Patrick Murphy

Attorney 

Patrick Murphy has maintained a litigation practice throughout Texas since 2015. He has experience in a variety of litigation and arbitration matters ranging in size and complexity—from matters involving less than $10,000 to matters exceeding $10 million. Mr. Murphy specializes in disputes involving oil and gas, probate, trusts, contracts, shareholder rights and real estate.

Prior to beginning his law practice, Mr. Murphy worked as an oil and gas landman in the Barnett Shale, the Eagle Ford Shale and the Permian Basin- bringing unique experience in title matters to Byers & Taylor, PLLC.

Mr. Murphy graduated magna cum laude from SMU Dedman School of Law and summa cum laude from the University of Texas at Arlington. He currently resides in Houston, Texas.

Wayne Taylor

Partner/Attorney 

Wayne M. Taylor is a founding partner of Byers &Taylor, PLLC. Wayne’s real estate practice includes assisting in the representation of owners and developers in the acquisition, disposition and development of commercial and residential assets. Wayne’s transactional practice involves the negotiation and preparation of purchase and sale agreements, commercial and residential leases, development agreements, conveyance instruments, easements, deed and use restrictions and the review of title documents, surveys and other due diligence items. Wayne’s litigation practice involves representation for both plaintiffs and defendants in courts throughout Texas. He represents companies and individuals in a broad range of civil litigation matters, including real estate, landlord-tenant, employment and business torts.

John Byers

Partner/Attorney 

John brings experience from inside and outside the legal profession. He began his career as a political consultant working on campaigns and communications for both candidates and issue advocacy organizations. He also worked as a licensed real estate associate where he provided service to both residential and commercial clients. After getting married and starting a family, John decided to attend law school at the University of Illinois College of Law where he graduated magna cum laude and was elected by his peers to serve as Executive Editor of the Illinois Law Review, one of the most prestigious law journals in the country. Throughout his law school career John also clerked for a Champaign County Judge and participated in the Domestic Violence and Federal Appellate Defender Clinics.

Upon graduation, John moved to North Texas where he worked as an in-house counsel for a title insurance agency assisting in both real estate and corporate matters. He then moved on to a medium-sized law firm where he served individual and institutional clients.

Today John resides in Keller, Texas with his wife Kathryn and sons J.T., Dean, and Noah. He co-founded Byers & Taylor, PLLC where he ties this experience together to provide a uniquely qualified vantage point that he uses to provide his clients with assistance in the areas of estate planning, probate, real estate, and business organization and governance.
